Sun’s out… is your beach bag packed? Is the beach your happy place to relax and unwind? Are there shells, sea glass, starfish, and at least one “beach sign” hanging in your home, office? Welcome beach friends – you are our people!

Our Blog will share tips for fun year-round beach getaways. From morning coffee to no-fuss travel for an easy, relaxing day. And, coming soon, fun beach “swag” to hold the beach energy with us when our feet aren’t in the sand!

We are Joanne and Judy, long-time friends and beach lovers who grew up “on salt air” in Massachusetts. We met in college in the Berkshires and bonded over missing our beloved beach and ocean. So, what’s an enterprising beach girl to do? Create our own “Church St. Beach” on the roof top of our campus Victorian house. No sand, no waves, but there was sun and fun! Who knew this beginning friendship would years later become the “3 Beach Girls”!

Life moved along with families, careers, and businesses but we always found time to fit in a friends getaway. We valued that special friendship time – it may have only been a day, but we made it happen!  Our getaways then and now always centered around the beach – there’s a special magic in the walks, the waves, the energy. As our kids got older, we had more “me” time to enjoy beach time with our friends. There was more time to explore new beach areas and our trips expanded. We began sharing our itineraries with others, ultimately leading us to “3 Beach girls”! 

I’m Joanne, an outdoor enthusiast at my happiest on road trips exploring and planning new beach getaways, jogging barefoot on hard beach sand, catching a beach sunrise. My travel tips will start with great coffee, food recommendations and beach terrain and mileage to stretch your legs!

I’m Judy, I am fortunate to live very close to the beach, I love the grounding and energy of the beach and am always on the lookout for the best “beach gear”, the greatest and latest beach beverage and best places for the sunset to end the perfect beach day.

Together, we have the day covered! Blogging is a new venture for us, we hope you join us and are inspired by our posts.
